Anyone have one for sale with navigation in the Gold color with saddle interior? I can only pay $18K unless you can take my 1995 Jaguar XJS as part payment.

I have been searching Ebay, recycler/cars.com and auto trader and even looked at a couple on dealer lots here in Southern California. The dealers would not give me a fair trade-in price nor would they sell for less than $20K. So that is where I am.

I can go anywhere, anytime, in the 48 lower states and drive the SC430 back.

Comments anyone?

Lowest price I've seen on a 2002 sc430 was $23K. Maybe you could get one for 18K at a auction.

Does Lexus even offer Egyptian Sand with Saddle together? I really doubt it now that I think of it...

I'm sure you could special order anything back in 02'.

There are plenty of SC's selling around $20-21k, but hopefully you know that these cars will most likely have over 100k miles.

I have seen several in this color combination, although I agree that Ecru or Ivory/Cream color is the most common interior. Here is a nice picture of one that was for sale in Florida at a dealer (2002 model). Another one recently sold on Ebay, also in Florida and there is one for sale now in Connecticut. Also, I have seen them advertised in Texas and I inspected one at Universal Auto in Universal City, California. That one had 108K miles and he was asking $23K and it is still for sale. There was another one out in the desert offered by a small independent dealer, that had 90K miles and they wanted $20K for it. Would not come down, so I did not make a trip to see it. They offered me only $5K for my Jaguar XJS and that turned me off too. AND this dealer even sells used Jaguars!!

I thought we were in a recession, why aren't the roadsters coming down in price? I lost $10K in one year on a Jaguar sedan, last year and I need some luck to come my way. A couple independent dealers here in Los Angeles told me that sales were really down, selling only one or two cheap compact cars a month. I guess roadsters are like expensive homes, prices are holding quite well.

I bought my LS430 from Universal Auto last year, but they could not come down to my $18K price for this neat roadster, saying something like they paid more than that for it, which might be true. It needs tires too. Nice opportunity to get rid of worn out run flats.

That's the difference in resale value between Lexus and Jaguar. Also, the year model/mileage SC430 you are after isn't going to be diminishing in value as fast as say an 06 with 30k--it's lost a lot of it's value already and won't lose much value over the rest of it's life. The car cost $67k new.

I have examined closely a couple SC430's in Egyptian Sand (Gold) and although they look nice, I think I would prefer the Blue color, again with saddle interior.

I will now be aggressively marketing my Jaguar convertible as I just bought a 2002 SC430 in Indigo Ink with Saddle interior. I decided this was a better color selection. The car has only 52K miles on it and guess what? IT HAS STANDARD, NON RUN FLAT TIRES!!!!

Now how do I delete this want ad???
