SC300 for sale in Hawaii
okay everyone, i got some news, i got a friend who has a SC300 it is purple in color, custom 18 wheels, crossdrilled and slotted rotors, indash dvd touch screen, equalizer underneath that, twin 12 inch in a bandpass plexi box and twin amps in the trunk. the leather inside looks pretty good, all the interior panels are intact, and u ready for the kicker? ? ? 1JZ-GTE already installed.... its too bad its an automatic. the odometer on the car says it has 200xxx miles on it, but i was told the motor is relatively new. my buddy moved out of country and left his parents with the car. they dont want it. they are asking 10k FIRM. i will be going over there tomorrow morning and take some pictures to post up here! if u have any questions, let me know, i will be sure to ask the parents see if they know. it has been sitting under a car cover for a while, so is kinda dusty right now, but nothing a wash couldnt take care of.

okay i got an email from my buddy. heres the info he sent me any questions post or pm me. thanks
The car was originally a 92 SC300 from California, it was stock except for the blue/purple paint.
The 1JZ-GTE and automatic transmition came from a 93 Toyota Soarer front clip, which is the Japanese version of the SC300. It had between 30k-40k miles. It was installed by Pit Stop Performance near Seattle Washington in summer of 2006. Buying the entire front clip ensured that it was installed to factory spec without needing modifications. Total cost for the engine/tranny and laber was about 5K. The only "modification" that had to be done was extending the factory engine wire harness. Besides that, the only drive train modification was the airfilter.
I've driven the car since then from Seattle to New Hampshire and back, (about 6k miles total). Then shipped it to Hawaii. So the total milage on the drive train is much less than 50K. Because of the conversion, the tach and temp meters indash do not work. The engine voltage output and the meters receiver don't match up. It can be fixed through some wiring but I didn't think it was worth the money. An after market meter can be bought and installed easier and would look nicer too if put in the right place. Stock 1JZ is rated at 280HP, revs to almost 8K RMP. A bigger fuel pump and the stock turbo can be tunes to put out over 350HP. You can tune the motor to 600HP on stock internals. As it is now, the drive train gives me no problems, I wouldn't have driven cross country if it did. Because Hawaii is so much hotter than New Hampshire and Seattle, an oil cooler might be nice even though turbo engines run hotter than NAs anyway.
The car has a custome audio/DVD system. A touch screen headunit, indash equilizer and 6 Disc DVD changer under driver seat. Linked to two amps (a 650W single channel and a 450W 2 channel I think). Front speakers are pioneer fullrange and a separate crossover with tweeters (forgot the tweeters brand, but they were some of the best). The back has full range pioneers enlarged to 5 1/2 inch. And of course the 2 12" Sub in the trunk. I also hooked up a power converter and DCA input for anything from a PS3/XBOX360 to computer.
The suspension are mostly stock, it has 18X8 front and 18X9.5 back. Both front and back can accomodate bigger tires. I believe the front tires are 70% new, the rear are down to 25-30%. The brake rotors are new and vented. The suspension is the weakest part of this car for me personally. I've called around and for about a 850 dollars, a set of Tein basics can be installed at a local shop which will lower the ride height and give it a firmer but still Lexus comfort drive.
Car headlamp has also been converted to Xenon.
I am very fond of this car and hate to sell it, but if I leave it with my parents I know it'll just be neglected. It's not a perfect car yet, but it is definitly unique on the road. I'd say it can become a showroom quality car in less than 5 thousand dollars and some elbow grease.
