FS: NYC 1992 Sandstone SC300 - 5Spd - $3,800
Hey Fellas - It pains me to do this but I am reluctantly putting my SC300 up for sale. I have owned this car for about 4 years and have thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Few cars out there can deliver the same good looks / luxury for the money. But alas, it was is time for me to move onto another vehicle so here goes....
1992 SC300 Sandstone / Tan interior – 5spd Transmission
Located in Queens, NYC. 141K miles.
Clean Title in hand.
I am the third owner of this car. I purchased it from a lawyer in Westchester, NY with approximately 127K miles. Prior to that, the car was owned / driven by a doctor in Missouri. Since I have owned the vehicle, I have driven it sparingly – approx. 3-4K miles per year, usually to the train station during the weekdays and locally on the weekends.
This car was driven very conservatively - not raced or driven to the extremes. Transmission shifts smooth and the clutch is still grabby.
Maintenance:
Timing belt, water pump, alternator and crank pulley have all been replaced within the last 10K miles – have receipts. Oil has been changed religiously every 3K miles /w Mobile One. Car does not really need any maintenance items at this point.
Modifications:
35% Tints
Espelir lowering springs / Tokico ‘Blue’ Shocks
Ro_ja Formula 5 rims (2-piece forged):
18 x 8.5 (F) w/ 225 40 18 Dunlop S9000s
18 x 9 (R) w/ 275 35 18 Dunlop S9000s
Custom exhaust piping w/ Magnaflow Y-pipe
Rod Millen Intake
SC400 Brakes w/ iRotor drilled and slotted rotors (front and rear) w/ EBC Green Stuff pads and Goodridge stainless steel brake lines. This was the most effective braking solution since my wheels did not accommodate BBK. Noticeable improvement over stock SC300 brakes.
Interior:
Great Interior - (at least for its age). No rips or excessive wear in seats. No burnt out cluster needles or bleeding LCD displays.
Exterior:
Stock Exterior. The car was involved in a minor accident a few months ago and was sideswiped on the driver side door and rear quarter panel. There was no frame / suspension damage – just outside body panels. I got an estimate from my bodyshop who said that it would cost $800 to repair and repaint. In addition, the car has some 2 scrapes on front bumper from careless NYC drivers while parking.
Car will be sold with stock taillights.
Asking price is $3,800.
I am aware that this car needs some work and I feel that my asking price accurately reflects that. This has been a well treated car – just been through a few unfortunate mishaps. This would be a great project car for someone who has some bodywork experience or hookups. I am not interested in trades - already purchased another vehicle.
I also have a full 97+ conversion (FR / R bumpers, sideskirts, fogs, grill, tails etc) available for those that are interested in doing a conversion in conjunction with the car but those parts will be negotiated indepedent of the vehicle sale.
Thanks for looking. I would prefer a local sale at this point.

I forgot to mention that I also have access to a full 97+ conversion (FR / R bumpers, sideskirts, fogs, grill etc) for the buyer if he/she is interested. But that would be negotiated indepedent of the car.
