Actually the 98's also have RSP....VVTi isn't that special. The power output is basically the same. I can't believe he won't buy it just because of VVTi. This is the cleanest RSP you might find in the country.....

About the same? There's a 10-15% power difference, about a half-second in the quarter mile, plus the VVTi does better on fuel. If you have the option, why would you not buy a VVTi? Add in that there were several (albeit minor) additions for the '98 model year (like built-in programmable garage door openers), and there's a significant difference from model year '97 to '98.
Anyway, this wasn't supposed to turn into bickering about the merits of VVTi or a '98 vs. a '97. This is a beautiful car at a very fair price. I was giving the guy props for it and just lamenting that it wasn't a '98. Let's keep it friendly.
