Just picked up a boat and it's time to make a swap. I have a georgeous Rx330 AWD (05') with 53k on it. Loading with almost everything with the exception of Nav & DVD. Looking for a same year or newer 4runner Limited but would consider a 4 door Tacoma too (possibly an FJ). MUST be Awd/4wd and clean title. Let me know what you have... We'd simply swap book for book. Hey SC... Our RX does great... however if we take a long road trip with it and pack it down we'll be well above the 3500 lb limit. I'm sure it would do fine but I have no interest overloading my baby. I'll find a vehicle that has a little more muscle instead.

FJ Cruiser? How much towing capacity does that have?

It's only 5000 lbs but that's enough... it's also got the off road capacity I might be interested in as I plan on getting back into bird hunting a bit this fall.

I'd say go for the FJ Cruiser.

That's the vehicle IMO with most "fun factor." However I've got 13, 10 & 6 year old. So the back seat and lack of back doors is a little bit of an issue for me. But then again my wife has the "family" car which does most of the hauling... We'll see what if anything comes up. Ideally I'd keep my Lexus for travel... buy a 4Runner for boat hauling & other fun stuff... and get the FJ for hunting/off road stuff... oh and I can't forget the Avalon I used to have just to have because we liked it so much!

looks like to me you need a 4runner with the towing option. 4runners are known to be top dogs for off road. 4runners do it all. but the trunda looks nicer ;D
