Gorgeous car. I lived down the street from Mark and he was a maniac about keeping that thing clean. We also serviced it at Automax once. Great guy, great car, I am sure it will move fast. Goodluck!

Price drop to $38,000, looking to sell quickly, received a 7 day offer from Carmax here in the OC, and will probably give it to them by next weekend if no interest. They will easily sell it for > $40k, so save yourself a couple thousand...

People have been asking about the warranty...
It is a Vehicle Service Agreement through Lexus (coverage level Platinum) good until 3/27/15 or 100,000 miles, zero deductible, with an unlimited towing benefit. The warranty is FULLY transferable to the next owner.

Hey fellow members,
A few people are confused as to my rationale when discussing price over private messages. I'll spell it out here just to save time. I am going to Carmax this weekend to sell the car. I have an appraisal offer from them and its a done deal if I want it. Additionally, I have a Platinum Vehicle Service Agreement (extended warranty) from Lexus.
As it was explained by Lexus Financial Services as well as the Lexus Newport dealer, the warranty is transferable to any owner, BUT not a dealer such as Carmax. So when I sell the vehicle to Carmax, the warranty dies. As such, I am entitled to reimbursement of the extended warranty from Lexus for the unused portion of the warranty.
The warranty is good for 5 years, of which I have used 1.5 years of (since purchase price of March 2010), which equates to 30% used. The 70% unused portion is reimbursable to me which equals roughly $2,000 (warranty price of $2,920 x 70%). They can also calculate this reimbursement via the miles used, but Lexus gives you the lower amount of time passed vs. miles driven.
As such, I am not willing to accept less than the combination of the Carmax offer plus $2,000 which is the cost of the warranty I would get back if I sell to Carmax. Again, at point of sale, I will gladly provide you with the Carmax offer plus the documentation of the extended warranty which shows the price paid.
Thanks!

Ur absolutely right, the CPO warranty is not transferable, but the platinum vehicle service agreement I purchased is. I confirmed that with Lexus Financial Services and its listed on my warranty handbook.

Yeah it depends on what type of plan it is. If it is a platinum wrap agreement it is not transferable. If it is a stand alone platinum agreement it is. Most of the time when the vehicle is certified the dealers sell the wrap agreements. Do you know offhand what plan code it is? I just don't want to see you getting in a pickle when you sell it. If the agreement is good 5 years from the date you purchased it as certified it sounds like a wrap agreement. All the stand alone agreements go from date of first use.
