FS: 1998 Lexus SC400
Up for sale is my Lexus SC400. It is white and tan interior. I am asking $7500. Has 145K on the ODO. I bought it from an individual in an Atlanta, GA. Has a CLEAN TITLE. It has the Nissan 350Z rims powdercoated black with TRD center caps. They have some very, very minor blemishes on the outer part of the rim by the tires. I think this is due to having the tires rotated and balanced, NOT from hitting curbs. It is loaded, everything but heated seats. The Nakamichi sound system quit, so I replaced the head unit with a old Panasonic single din that I had lying around. I also installed Pioneer 6x9's in the rear, with a Pioneer 10 inch sub. It is powered by a Pioneer 4 channel amp, while the front speakers/tweeters are still powered by the head unit alone. The head unit comes with a remote. It is also wired for an ipod or cell input along the driver seat. I left the factory amplifier in there, but removed factory CD changer, it also quit. I threw it away.
The interior is flawless, except for the passenger side tint is scratched upand the right rear quater section. It needs to be replaced. There is NO rips, tears, or wear marks anywhere in the leather, nor the arm rest. I would rate this a 9.5 out of 10. The climate control, needles all work flawlessly, no bleeding or flickering. The only thing I would do is replace the tint to something darker and it will good to go. The upper window trims on both sides have NO cracks, nor the center vent. The steering wheel have very, very minor blemishes. No cracks, or tears, or rips, some minor indections from normal driving. I recently fixed the tilt steering. The floor mats still look good, and has all four. The door hinges do not sag, nor pop when opened or closed..
The outside is in good shape. The previous owner had the bumpers repainted, but overall the look like they were proffessional done. The match is not perfect, but is hard to match plastic bumpers with actual metal on car. The healdights are perfect, no water condensation, or cracks. I upgraded the headlights with HID's to 6000K with seperate ballasts. The foglights were great, also no cracks or blemishes. There is one ding on the passenger side rear quarter panel. Thats the only noticeable one from a distance. The tires have 40% left of tread all the way around. The rear tires have Pirelli Z Nero 265/35/18 in the rear, matching. The front have Pirelli Z Nero size 245/40/18, the other is Bridgestone style.
The motor is the VVTI with a custom made BFI (big freaking intake). The service of the timing belt and water pump were done 120K, just before I bought it. There is NO leaks from anything that I can tell at this point. The lower control arm bushings were replaced about two months ago. The car is lowered on Esplier springs, front and rear with Tokico Blues struts. They work and operate great. No rubbing or scratching. NO excessive rear camber wear either. I just had a four wheel alignment done in the past 3 months with new hub centric rings installed. I was getting some vibration in the steering wheel, and this cured the problem. It rides like factory. The front and rear brake rotors, calipers, and pads are good. No shimmining or vibration when applied. The check engine light comes on and every now again, since the BFI install. The average gas I get around town is 23 MPG. I also installed Magnaflow exhaust mufflers to help with the sound. They are only 3-4 months old as well.
The only reason I am selling this car, is because I bought a Supra Turbo. I need this one gone. It has been a fun car, but love the Supra more. I would give this car a 9/10 in my rating, needs nothing but driven. Will also be cleaned up and detailed before delivery. I will add more pictures in the few days, if not sold before. This is located in Huntsville, AL... I will be willing to meet somewhere if we work something out. If you don thave the money or cant get it please dont bother PM'ing me. Cash ONLY.
