I recently bought this GS400 from a buddy of mine. Its actually my old GS that I had sold to him like 6 yrs ago. I bought it back from him on a whim with intentions on bringing it back to its former glory. The more I thought about it I have too many other projects going on at the moment to get into another one.
Im not going to lie, the car needs some work, and some TLC, and the price reflects that.
Here's the breakdown on the car.
98 black on black GS400
148,000 miles
Veilside Executive rear spoiler
L tuned grill
factory navigation
Here is a list of repairs and maintenance my buddy put into the car int he past year or so (I have reciepts)
timing belt and water pump replaced
front brakes and rotors replaced
both front ball joints replaced
plugs and ignition coils replaced
CV's replaced
new wheels and tires recently, look brand new still
there is a bunch of other small things that I have reciepts for.
Cosmetic condition.....interior is in great shape, and its black which everyone is looking for.
Both front fenders have minimal damage due to the ball joints breaking on him on both sides at different times. The damage isnt crazy, but its there. There are some other nicks and such on the car, which you would expect on a 14 year old car.
Mechanically, the car runs great as far as the motor and the tranny goes. It does have a check engine light on, as well as the ABS lights are on. He said the ABS lights came on after a shop did the front suspension work, they could have broke the sensors or pinched a wire. I havent got into it to check it out. The ABS unit squeeks a little when you hit the brakes. It definitely needs new front struts as well. The steering feels a bit sluggish, almost like it needs to be algined, but he said it was aligned recently when he bought the tires and wheels.
Im trying to be as open as possible about the car. its not perfect, but it runs strong. This interior alone is worth 2/3 as much as Im asking.
I'm asking $3000 for it picked up in Maryland.

I will take it of your hands if you send me some pics. Is the car able to do a 500 mile or so roadrtrip on its own or it needs a trailer? You have the title? Thanks
