1997 SC400 manual swap
Year: 1997
Make: lexus
Model: SC400
Milage: 340000 KM on body / 70000 KM on engine
Transmission: 5speed with KA Nissan transmission Title: clean ny title in my name
Clean title.
Here are the fact about the car.
I had the car for a bit over a year now, bought the car from a older person, he told me the car was not firing on all cylinder so I bought the car from him.
Upon further inspection, I realized that the head gasket was gone.
I purchased an engine from Engine Land here in Toronto from a Toyota Celcior, Stripped the entire block and swapped everything back over the new engine, from intake manifold to oil sump. Took the opportunity to install a new power steering pump and a new starter.
A few months ago, the car underwent a manual 4 speed swap, complete the swap a few weeks later, recently replaced the diff with a JZ161 aristo diff in order to get a better 5th gear highway mileage.
Added some 18X10 rear and 18X9 from rims and custco coil over.
I am selling the car because I would like to go turbo or supercharged however , where I live, any modification will trigger a check engine light code and the car be able to be register.
The only option would be for me to sell it and maybe buy a OBD1 SC400 and do it all over again, however, that cant be done till I have this car.
The good: Engine runs great with plenty of power, all power option work including A/C and cruise control. Front driver fender has a minor dent in it.
The bad: The clutch might need to be replaced, I had destroyed a clutch already, swapped it with a exedy clutch and realized that the pedal wasn't adjusted properly. It's holding power right now but it might need replacement in a few month if driven hard.
The car is in Toronto, I was hoping to find a local buyer here who is also loves the SC like I do.
Asking 6900 OBO for the car.
Feel free to ask any questions regarding the car.
Thanks you.
