NJ FS: 2004 Lexus IS300 Sportcross Wagon w/ 32k miles
Lexus Vehicles ClassifiedsLexus Vehicles for sale by members, no dealers or vendor posts allowed. Only active members with >100 posts may post non-Lexus vehicles.
Empathize with your dilemma of pricing a topnotch Sportcross.
Owner of three (see below). Still own the two MSMs.
One is a 2005 (last model year) with 41K miles. I'm second owner.
Bought in LA in early 2011 (20K miles) and shipped to TN.
Have service records from day one.
Ditto the other MSM, a 2002 with 103K, also from CA.
Both have full leather (black), and second set OEM wheels with snow tires.
Both are unmodified, garaged, terrific condition and incredibly reliable.
And I will sell one eventually (if I can meet forum qualifications).
Because I have a third car (see below).
BMW 335i highly modified by MachV Motors in Sterling VA.
Owner's demonstration car for "stealth M3" conversion.
Bought when I couldn't find a low-mileage Sportcross like yours.
Looked everywhere, often, including this forum.
Good luck. You know it's worth a lot. Hope you get it.
If you ever decide to sell that 05, PM me. Would be interested in looking at it. Over here in Knoxville...
add me to the list!! I can bring it back to its roots in CA!
Ive been looking to upgrade to an 05, since its the last production year. And Im trying to get s SX with lower miles, mine has 180K.
Just wanted to update this a bit as I havent been able to get to a computer for some time
1. Photos have been long done, but still havent been able to get them. I promise they are coming but this car hasnt even been a priority this past month
2. It has now eclipsed 33k since this posting
3. Due to a series of unfortunate circumstances ( I wont bore you with a sob story, but my health and employment have all suffered severely this past month)
I cant hold onto her any longer. Im now asking 14,999. Im fairly firm at that, but im also open to reasonable offers
dang, sorry to hear about your health and job. thats never fun and I feel for ya. I have definitely been there!
really sucks that you have to let her go and I really hope she gets into some great hands with somebody that will appreciate it! such a gem! wish you were just a bit closer, but Im seriously considering it!
Im currently juggling a few other interested parties, but as of now, the car is still very much available
Also, I managed to dig up a screenshot of the carfax from back in December. Unfonrtunately I dont have the same access now, otherwise I would just run and post up the full carfax, so if anyone would like to, feel free to do so.
If anyone is interested in the carfax please feel free to shoot me a PM.
contemplating putting it on a popular auction site (begins with the letter "E") within the next week or two and sending a link to the 5-6 people who have thrown me an offer over the past month or so.
Id prefer not to go that route, so speak now or forever hold your peace
I'm considering pulling from my home equity loan to come buy this... I've got a company car, so this would be perfect for the weekends. I will make a decision by the end of the weekend. It's so frustrating seeing a borderline new car sit this long with no sale.
Edit: Be careful with the E site... From what I hear, they take a large % of the sale and come down to the end, you get blindsided with fees.

It's a little bizarre that cars in worse condition sell easier, but cost of entry might have something to do with it
And that's why I'm trying to avoid them for the auction. I think I have a few qualified buyers that I hopefully won't need to go that route. But I'm not holding my breath
dang, really...ebay!? ugh, id hate to see ya go that route, but gotta do what you gotta do.
it is crazy cats in worse condition sell easier, but id have to agree, cost of entry. Its much easier to get into a car for under $10K, than a 10+ year old car for 15k. I see it here on the used lots. Only one lot gets really nice cars, the other get nice cars, but generally focus on the under 10K market. the 16k+ tend to drag.
this is a great car, and in amazing condition. Im surprised the toyota museum didnt decide to swoop this. Im still interested, and think about it often, if you were on left coast, this would be sold, days ago!
