1998 ls400
I'm testing the waters on letting my 1998 LS400 go. I bought the car a few months back from a friend of a friend, but haven't been driving it as much as I thought. The car has just under 98K miles and is in great condition for it's age. It's fully loaded with all the options offered in 1998 with the exception of heated seats and the cell phone. Exterior is in great shape with a few very minor dings and scratches as expected for a car of this age. The paint is in amazing condition... Even my SA commented on it when I had it at the dealer a few months back. Interior is in excellent shape. The driver seat has a little wear from entering/exiting the vehicle as expected, but otherwise the interior is in great shape. Tires have a few thousand miles on them. No accidents or paintwork. All service records (mostly dealer, some independent).
The history I know on the car is that it was owned by a Doctor in Palos Verdes who split her time between Los Angeles and Hong Kong. The person I bought the car from said the Doctor and her husband each had a 98 LS400 and were selling both when they moved permanently back to Hong Kong. One was the car I have and the other was a Gold one. The person I bought the car from said he went with the white one b/c he preferred the color, but the gold one had the heated seats so he was torn. Anyways, the car sat in the garage with both owners and currently sits in the garage at home and work with me.
I'm asking $6500 for the car, but am open to offers. Everything I have seen locally in the $5-6k range is trashed or has double the miles. I'm not desperate to sell the car and am confident someone who appreciates the LS400 will come along.
The car is located on the Westside of Los Angeles and I am willing to drive a reasonable distance to show the car.
