FS: 2008 Lexus ISF 50k Miles, Extremely Clean, Tastefully Modified
After 5 years of enjoying the experience of owning my ISF and much contemplation I've decided that it is time to pass it on. I love my car very much and and get great pleasure out of everything from the driving experience to the rarity of the model to the fact that I can count on it to never give me headaches. The problem is, I never drive the car! I own multiple summer cars and I am fortunate to drive many amazing cars beyond my own collection which only leaves so much time to use this one. I'm also very selective about parking, weather situations, etc. which doesn't make it easier.
I'm sure some of you know me from this forum or have had me do work on your ISF here in the Boston area which can attest to my knowledge of the platform, the quality of the work that has been performed on the car and my commitment over the years to assist in the progression of the platform. In my 17 years of car building I have grown a fondness for GT and saloon sports cars over race cars and this car has fit the bill perfectly. The car is tastefully modified and has a few firsts under its belt. It was the first ISF to fit massive 305 rear tires thanks to Figs Engineering, the first tuned ISF in North America and on a lesser note has the first Wicked C.A.S. sub enclosure, the first Nigel JDM brake pedal and one of the first 5 Arkym rear diffusers made.
I am the third owner of this car, the 1st was an older gentleman that was an avid car enthusiast who enjoyed the car for a short time then switched to something else, from there it went to a CL forum member who like myself was extremely worried about preserving the car. When I bought it and to this day, it never goes out in rain, gets street parked, stays out in the sun, rarely has had a rear seat passenger and is always covered and stored from the first signs of snow until the street sweepers have cleaned the roads in the spring. I purchased the car 5 years ago and put under 2k miles on it per year. Despite all the mods that have less then 8,000 miles on them, it rarely gets driven hard. I typically would only use it with my wife for long Sunday drives through western, MA or the white mountains and I don't get to drive hard with her in the car. Aside from that it has a few drag passes and mostly just straight line pulls and dyno time on it for ECU testing. I won't say that I never beat on it but I only put an average of 2k miles a year on the car in nice weather situations and the tires still look new.

Interior looks just about showroom perfect with no signs of wear on the drivers seat or elsewhere. One small 1/4" mark on the right rear door panel being the only notable blemish.
Exterior is also very clean with some small stone chips on the leading edge of the hood and one small scratch on the passenger side fender I believe.
I am also including every stock part which includes a perfect set of OEM wheels and 2014 suspension that has 30k on it.
You could never come close to putting this car together with all the parts it has including parts and labor cost plus condition. The wheel and tire setup alone is worth half of the extra money I’m asking.
I AM NOT PARTING THE CAR OUT. If by some strange magic it turns out that someone wants the car with fewer or no mods for less money and someone else was committed to buying the wheels, suspension, brakes, exhaust, etc. at the same time ONLY then would I be willing to bring the price of the car down to what a stock ISF is selling for.
Keep in mind that this car has been cared for extremely well and has very nice parts with little usage that where professionally installed so if you want an ISF and plan to mod it there is a ton of value in taking the car already set up properly.
My asking price as is $37,500
Here is my build thread which includes plenty of pics of the car.

Thanks Jamie, it was a tough decision but I want to concentrate on the Supra and GTX this year.
I'm willing to sell the car stock for $32k w/ diffuser, rear sway bar, new tires, brakes and a few other extras.
So basically $32k for one of the cleanest ISFs in the Northeast and $7.5k for all the stock parts, modifications and wheels installed is an amazing deal if you ask me but no takers yet. I think my wheels and tires alone are worth half of the extra $ that I'm asking.

Bump.....coming out of storage soon.
Buy it with the wheels and mods or stock for a lower price.
As it sits now an OS giken diff. is all it would take for this car to have everything it needs to far surpass a 2011+ performance wise.
LED headlights are all it needs to match the look unless you like the funky 2011+ interior.
I never really got the hype around the 11+ if your modding the car anyway. I've driven every model year and the difference are like turbo lag.....an internet conversation at best.

I've seen my fair share of ISFs and I can tell you that regardless of year very few have been cared for like mine.

I appreciate the compliment and constructive criticism but I'm not worried about not having any takers at the moment. I've put a major effort into keeping this car in perfect condition and I'm not ready to undercut that at the moment. The travel, risk of a wasted flight, time away and transporting a clean ISF to the northeast all cost money. IMHO finding a clean example right in the local area that was owned by probably the only shop in the area specializing in ISFs has a value.

Bump, I decide to enjoy my car for the summer and didn’t put any effort into selling it. I ended up putting 500 miles on it this year and now I bought a brand new truck and new turbos for my BMW so I’m willing to sell it again.
I lowered the price and included a 2014 suspension as an extra. This car is a great deal with all of the parts installed professionally by myself (an OEM master tech and tuning shop owner for 20 years that specializes in ISFs), suspension aligned properly and the givin condition. In a few weeks I may put the car back to stock or 2014 spec to appeal to a wider audience but someone should try to buy it as is since you will never build this car for the same money. All of my parts are practically brand new and my wheel tire money just about covers the extra cost.
I also have have an OEM Torson LSD that I will install for free if the buyer pays me for the part.

Sorry I must have deleted the price and not typed in the new price.
$37,500 is the new price with everything listed. Although, next time I have a free day I am converting the car back to stock with 2014 suspension. I really hope for my sake and the buyers that the car gets sold as is. It maybe be a month or two until I find time for that.....
The headers and exhaust plus installation alone would cost $3000
If someone wanted the car with a few less things for less money I would be willing to take the wheels and audio system out but if I have to go beyond that and the car has to sit on the lift then I assume just go back to stock. For example...if someone wanted the car with stock suspension and I had to pull the Figs arms and do an alignment I would just keep going and remove everything.

SKUM,
I’m not exactly sure how to take your post. I’m well aware of how the new, used and modified car markets work and your post seems like something that should be reserved for PM or if I had posted in the ISF section asking how I should sell my car. Commenting that I may have paid someone to work on my car even makes me feel like you didn’t take the time to fully read my for sale thread before giving an opinion that could deture potential buyers and then proceeding to not make an offer. You could have done this via PM which would have been a much more professional approach in my opinion.
If you would like to make a serious cash offer on the car feel free to PM me but I can tell you right now that I am in no way desperate to sell this car.
As as for the modifications holding their value I very clearly understand that and if you add up the cost of all of the installed parts on this car which is in very good condition you will see that everything comes at a great discount.
Most ISFs in the Boston area come to my shop for all of their parts purchases, installations and maintenance and I want to sell this car as is because it would be crazy to put it back to stock only for it to show back up on my lift getting the same parts installed 6 months from now.
The reality is that just about every ISF gets FBO modifications. The PPE headers, Borla exhaust, BC/swift combo and RR tunes are amongst the most popular parts. That combined with some of the expensive and rare to see wish list parts on my car make it well worth it in IMHO. JDM visors, 305 PSS tires on 2 piece BC forged wheels, Figs arms with a proper alignment, Figs 2 piece brakes, etc are typically things that are beyond the budget or energy level of the typical ISF owner (I know this as fact from years of being heavily involved in this community) so getting all of that, turn key on a clean car is a win.
I would appreciate it if no one else would post this kind of content in my for sale thread. For sale threads are to help bring serious sellers and serious buyers together and not for trolls.
