GS - 1998 Lexus GS400
For Sale: 1998 LEXUS GS400, Clean Title, Emissions Ready - $4,500 OBO
Located in Asheville, NC.
I purchased this car many years ago on Club Lexus and it has been daily driver for the last 8 years. Runs great and has been an awesome investment. I purchased it with 130,000 miles and meticulously taken care of it since. It has 251,200 miles on it. Please don’t waste my time – Serious inquires ONLY. Feel free to message me with questions. • 20x9 (front) 20x10 (rear) MRR HR3 Wheels
• General GMAX tires: 245/35/20 (front), 275/30/20 (rear)
• SRT intake with race ECU
• Replaced Air filter with AEM Dry Flow Filter (Non Oil)
• L-Tuned exhaust, L-Tuned side skirts, L-Tuned ECU, L-Tuned front grill
• TRD blue sway bars
• Tom's 6 piece links, Tom's chassis brace, Tom's rear STB
• TEIN Comfort Sport Coil Overs with EDFC
• Carson’s Wood Steering Wheel with E-shift
• Supra BBK Fronts w/TRD Race Pads and Brembo Cross-drilled rotors all around
• 2004 GS430 headlights, GS430 taillights, GS430 badges
• Precision Industry tranny cooler.
• 3.76 Supra TT LSD
• Upgraded front speakers, rear speakers and tweeters (2016)
• Kicker 10” subwoofer installed in rear decklid, powered by Kicker 300 watt amp (2016)
• Kenwood double-din CD/DVD with Bluetooth, USB and back up camera and grounding kit (2016)
• Perforated leather seats (2014)
The following maintenance has been performed recently:
• Rear differential oil has been changed (2015)
• Starter replaced (2015)
• Timing belt and water pump replaced (late 2015, 25K to 30K miles ago)
• New alternator (2016)
• New power steering pump (2015)
• Both knock sensors replaced (2016)
• New spark plugs (late 2016)
• GMAX tires (late 2016)
• Regular Synthetic oil changes with 5W30 or 10w30 Mobile One Synthetic
The only thing wrong with the car is the hood cable is stretched requiring you to close the hood in a certain way. I have already ordered a replacement cable, just haven’t put it on. The replacement cable come with the car.
Also the mode foot/face climate servomotor sometime makes some noise if you change the mode. I also have a new servomotor just haven't put it in. It never really bothers me because I never change the vent modes. This was a common problem with the GS400 and there are a lot of detailed DIY tutorials for replacing the motor without removing the dash. The replacement servomotor will come with the car.

Bump this is a fantastic find.
I would be all over this of I didn't recently buy my GS4.
Most cars in thi's mile range
A. Haven't been taken care of as well
B. Will need about 1500-2000 in service to bring up to the point his car is for sale and they have the nerve to charge the same price
C. Won't come with these mods guaranteed
