The 1st gen SC was not like the CL. The CL is a full size coupe with legit seating in the rear.

The 1st gen SC I found had way more leg room then the 2nd gen.

The 1st gen SC compared to the 1st gen CL was a 7" difference. After that the 2nd gen SC shrunk almost like 14" from the 1st gen.

Funny thing is the the 2nd gen CL was 196" when the 1st gen SC was like 192.5"

Now the 3rd gen CL is about 200", and hopefully the 3rd gen SC will go back to like 195-200" so it can actually compete against the CL.

True the hp was more in the CL then the SC about 50-100 hp more.

Thing is the current size of the SC is sort of in range of the SL though. We still have 3-4 years to see what Lexus will do with the SC, make it more of a SL fighter which would be stupid seeing they have the LF-A or will they make it actually more of a CL.

I've always thought of the SC as a two door GS.
The CL really is a two door S class.
But I agree that the SC430 should go back to the 1st gen days.

Ahh okay. Never really saw the SC as a 2-door GS lol. I do understand the CL is like a 2-door S-class.

Thing is from what I remember the LF-A will be the same size as the current SC or something, for me it would make sense for the SC to become slightly larger and become like a 2-door LS, but thats just me.

Carbon fiber is designed to shatter on impact. Its lighter than steel but stronger.

i'd rather have a sheet metal that's dented up than bigass holes in my car. carbon fiber offers no protection.

What do you mean offers no protection?

Its because carbon fiber is much stronger than steel and lighter... it shatters on impact which is a good thing meaning it absorbs more of the energy...

What a silly statement . Do you know how hard the impact was for the LF-A? What speed was the car travelling at, and how hard did the rear end impact? You don't know any of these things, and judging by your comments you also have no clue about the characteristics of carbon fiber.

If carbon fiber offers "no protection" is that why they rely on it so heavily in Formula 1 and other motorsports around the world?

Yes that rear corner was shattered, but look at the radiator, it looks completely unharmed. If this was steel, the entire left rear corner of the car along with the radiator would have been destroyed.

So when the sheet metal dents, it crumples inward. You would rather have your radiator and whatever else that is back there completely destroyed? I'm confused as to what type of protection you would be getting with steel over carbon fiber?

I felt that his post was condescending, and I'm sorry if you interpreted my post as condescending, when it was simply meant to be a firm opinion. I'm not sure how you can interpret the world "silly" and a roll eyes emoticon as being rude , but I guess people easily misinterpet things on internet forums.
