Lexus LF-A Concept will debut in video game Need For Speed Shift this September
Need For Speed Shift car line up has been announced and Lexus LF-A Concept is on it so here is our first chance to take it for a spin before the real one shows up in Tokyo.
Hopefully they do what they did with Nissan GT-R in Pro Street. They announced it as a concept and when real production model premiered they replaced concept version with production one.
Oddly there is no IS-F in a game

From what I understand it will be only 500 units for the globe. Things are looking more bleak as time progresses.

Based on the specs and performance, the LF-A will be a bargain for what you're getting. If the LF-A was less expensive, it wouldn't be the supercar that Toyota wants it to be.
Aww man, maybe you'll read the rest of the thread before commenting
.
That's a nice story there, but there were no LF-A engine explosions to speak of. The engine has been solidly reliable, revving to 9K RPM all day long.
Exactly.
Lexus is utilizing a similar strategy as they did with the LS, and now they are doing it for the F-brand. Starting off with a halo car (LF-A) that sets an image and a reputation for the F-brand. The only difference is the IS-F already came out, but the LF-A should accomplish a similar feat as the LS did, which is redefine the supercar segment.
Well if there is enough demand, Lexus *might* build more. Either way, we shall find out soon enough all the details.
LF-A II concept in a game, further evidence the production car is coming very soon. Yeah it's Need For Speed, but the rendering looks good.
I wonder if this hints at the production LF-A in any way. Specifically, look at the headlights. They have a slightly different shape than the LF-A II concept. They look more aggressive than the LF-A II headlights.

I feel Lexus has the image and cache to sell this. They already have the dealer service and reputation. I don't see them having any problem selling this car.
People have asked or bished that Lexus isn't sporty. Well this is as sporty as it gets. This really can shake up Lexus staid image and get some press for them around the world.
I would think the expectation after this is people will want sportier cars from Lexus and this means 2IS-F, GS-F, LS-F, SC-F who knows.
Skys the limit!

It seems to me that the NFS car has a flatter door rather than rounder on the concepts. Could be a change for aerodynamic reasons. It's hard to see on the Nurburgring cars but they look flatter also.

I think it really depends how accurate this rendering of the LF-A is. Based on the other cars I've seen for this game, the renderings are not quite photo-realistic like Gran Turismo or Forza. We shall see soon enough I guess.

I think it's safe to say Gran Turismo 5 will have the LF-A, likely the production version. That would really help explain the Gran Turismo stickers on both LF-As at the Nurburgring race. Based on what I've seen so far, Gran Turismo 5 has stunning renderings of cars.
For those of us who won't have the funds/opportunity to own an LF-A, playing it in Gran Turismo 5 will probably be as close as we get to the real thing
. I may even buy a PS3 just to play Gran Turismo 5
