Official LF-A(II) thread (Will debut at Tokyo Auto Show, Lexus details Oct 20th, 8pm)
#651
Nothing official yet from Toyota, but I can totally see them showing the production LF-A and talking about some specs just to take some momentum out of the GT-R launch .
They better have SOMETHING about the LF-A at the show, otherwise huge dissapointment will result.

You know, Lexus marketing is generally quite savvy, US and Japan.
Maybe they felt that showing the LF-A would detract from the IS-F spotlight (I know, I know, both could go great).
But Lexus I think wants to keep a buzz around the brand year round...for years to come. With a very conservative product DV strategy that takes a long time before releasing a product, when they do, they time it so that they can get the maximum publicity and success out of it. If they released IS-F and LF-A together now they wouldn't have much to talk about next year. So They are doing IS-F now, and leaving LF-A for next year. So you had IS-F/LX 570 for 2007-2008, LS 600h L for 2007, LS 460 and ES 350 for 2006-2007, IS for 2005, etc.
