Not really, guys. Carbon fiber, when used to refer to CFRP, is really an informal misnomer/shorthand, according to Wikipedia's article on the term "carbon fiber" itself:

"By extension, the term is also used informally to mean any composite material made with carbon filament, such as carbon fiber reinforced plastic."

So CF is really just a key material used to reinforce the composite material known as CFRP.

good point, it doesnt look like toyota will get any podiums next year unless they get some really young and good drivers onboard like heiki or vettel
and their F1 technology really needs to produce some results too
i just cant wait to see LF-A in production form, so bring it out already lexus!!

Toyota could get podiums next year. Wins ?? who knows.
This years GP2 champion Timo Glock more than likely will be driving for them next season. Half Schumacher will no longer be at Toyota F1.

one thing im curious about is whether the front will be as aggressive as the latest concept shown at auto shows
from the prototypes i see in those nurburgring videos, the front doesnt look as aggressive but of course its all covered up
i like the more conservative look of the one in the video though, without the front looking too bulgy
by bulgy, i mean like in this pic

the front sticks out and comes back in
i would like it better if they just make it drop straight down a bit more?

its 6am wednesday here in tokyo right now. as a gt-r enthusiast and hopeful buyer ive been looking forward to this for some time. that the lf-a has been so good its a surprise. its great to see the japanese pulling through on the sports cars again. ill be leaving for the show shortly.. btw the lexus presentation is in the morning, 9:xx or so iirc. so youll get whatever is announced tonight before its very late on the east coast..

Yea I saw that earlier today. I'm thinking that Lexus will show the same concept, but will only release more information about the model (but I could be wrong).
