LFA Allocation in Japan.
Well it looks like it is going to be 1 LFA per dealer here in Japan. This is still only speculation but it looks like dealers are going to be taking orders (deposits) very soon and due to their only being 165 cars alloted to Japan and b/c there are 165 dealers they are going to have each dealer take shipment of one car. I still don't know how they will be allocating those cars that the dealers who don't get any orders.
Anyway , that is all for now.

Thx for the info Dave600hL. It definitely appears to be highly restricted and exclusive...with a likely production total of 500, 165 for Japan...according to Autocar, there will be only 20 units allocated for the UK, with each owner getting an introduction to their LFA at a racetrack in Spain, with a session from "one of Toyota’s hand-picked driving superstars" (F1 team perhaps?)

...in a way it reminds me of the 75-unit Neiman Marcus GS 450h, sold out in the US in 3 hours on the day it was offered. I wonder if considering how limited the LFAs will be, each may get individually numbered?

Goodness gracious. It sounds like it will be very collector & hard to get one. Does anyone know how much these baby's will go for (ballpark) & what the mark up may be??? There are 5 dealers around this area & I know of at least 4 that is guaranteed to buy this car. WOW. This car will go for alot more than advertised. I wonder if it makes sense to buy this car over the new Lambo or Ferrari. If I go to the dealership now, how much would I have to put down??? 50K ??? 100K ???

So, based on this info, 1 per dealer in Japan, thus 165 RHD LFAs at least...based on multiple sources at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, 20 LFAs for the UK...out of some 50 dealers in that country. There are 226 dealers in the US...
165 JDM
226 US
20 UK
That's already 411, with some 80+ units left. Certainly more than a few are bound for the wealthy consumer in the Middle East, Russia, Australia, and other Asian and emerging markets...anywhere a Lexus connoisseur with a taste for supercar speed lives...

Well no car is built for one year, so if its 500 a year for even just 3 years, that is 1500 vehicles. If it lasts 5 years, that is 2500 or so LF-As running around!
I can't see it being sold for one year and total allocation only 500. Doesn't make sense especially if they CAN sell more. I mean 500 or 2500, that is still one rare vehicle!

Usually a roadster debuts a year or two after the coupe and we have seen a concept roadster.
Also will the hybrid variant be produced?

I agree though (Mike?) That they will say that now, but I'm pretty sure regardless of cost, every last one will be sold before they touch the show room floor, and they will probably do a multi-year run, introduce the roadster and hybrid a year or two after, and maybe a track model (akin to the scuderia).
