after seeing the car in white and the previous matte black, i think white looks far far far superior than black. it shows the line more and catches so much attention

I finally got to upload my whole gallery from last Saturday at Toyotafest 2010. Here are pics of the Starfire LFA next to my Starfire ISF as promised. There are some LFA sandwiches in there as well courtesy of HyperMKIV. LOL

Here is the same Flat Black LFA with my Starfire ISF back in November 2009 for the F-Sport event in Fontana:

It looks elegant in white, but menacing in black, the only thing about the matte is it's easy to show when the car isn't clean, and you're right about the lines. In white the lines and body shape is shown off more. As it is in red.

EDIT: LFA race car action- the two LFA's qualified in P25 and P28 overall, first and second in their SP8 class. Before final qualifying the LFA's were among the fastest cars in the wet. Even though their weight is at a disadvantage compared to the SP9 (GT3) class cars. It goes to show you the capability and sure footing the LFA has in all conditions (remember the top gear wet lap?). Looking forward to the race later on tonight through tomorrow.

Indeed, it looks good so far, but in such races anything can and will happen. Here's a summary of the qualifying press release FWIW:

http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2...ualifying.html

Gazoo Racing Lexus LFAs Dominate Respective Class at 24 Hours of Nurburgring Qualifying

Gazoo Racing is fielding a pair of Lexus LFAs this weekend at the famed 24 Hours of Nürburgring race. These V10 racecars are out to prove a point; the Lexus LFA is a true contender on and off the track and a genuine entry in the supercar world.

Despite unsuccessful entries in the past with the LFA at Nürburgring, Gazoo Racing is paving the way during the qualifying sessions. The two cars, #50 and #51, are heading their class after the second round of qualifying. The #50 car set a time of 8:50.034 and will be driven in the race by Kino****a, Iida, Wakisaka and Ohshima. The #51 car, set to be driven by Hahne, Krumbach and Lotterer, is in second with an 8:53.156. Third place came in fashionably late with a 9:11.909 effort from the Aston Martin V12 Vantage driven by Porritt, Meaden, Mathai and Cate.

It looks like all the testing sessions has really paid off for the Gazoo Racing team. We’ll be keeping our eyes out this weekend on how well the LFAs will maintain their status at one of the most famous race in the entire world.

White is my favorite LFA color of them all. Black is definitely menacing but the flat black has taken a toll throughout it's short stint.

They usually dominate their class, and despite being 300 pounds or more above the SP9 class cars, during the VLN races the new LFA's were besting some of them. 4 hours is nothing compared to 24 hours though. But with the pace of the LFA and some consistency, I think it should be a good race for them.

That thing is sick! Every time i see it I just wish I was one of their racers. I'd drop everything to go over there and Pilot one of those machines. I'd be off the pace for sure, but after a few training sessions I'm sure I could get close!

Very exciting!!! I too have been following the race via http://gazoo.com/racing/top/2010NUR2...rcuitLive.aspx

For the longest time, the #50 LFA was just behind the #6 Aston Martin V12, but was getting closer, and now past! Glad to see that the #51 LFA is back, hopefully nowhere near as dramatic a problem as last year.

And it's quite amazing that the LFA is right up there in overall rankings, especially with the overall ranking led by non-production SP9 models, IIRC.

In 2008, the LF-A finished #7 in SP8 (121 overall), in 2009 the best LF-A finished #4 (87 overall).
