60 mph = 96 KM/H
62 mph = 100 KM/H
Generally Lexus quotes 3.6 seconds for 60 mph or 3.7 secs to 100 KM/H.

Another thing about the LFA that amazes me it does all this without the need for much high end technology. Sure it has the complex stereo and the advanced stability control, but the driving experience draws from tested classic technology. For example it uses a single clutch gearbox compared to the more modern dual clutch gearbox. Its V10 engine is potent enough already where it doesn't require direct injection or turbocharging. Also, unlike the ZR1s, GTRs, or 458 Italias the LFA does not use any adaptive adjustable suspension systems to achieve great handling. No comfort or sport mode just a tried and true coil spring suspension that was tuned one way at the track.

I was just going through the fastestlaps.com webpage and saw the different tracks and cars. So I did a little research and found the Top Gear times. Seems our LFA in the dry if it gained up to 5 seconds (like top gear said) would make it in the top 10. The only cars faster around the track would be double the price or completely track cars, only one exception would be the Noble M600.

I checked a few bookstores and none of them carry AutoZeitung or SportAuto.![Sad](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/sad.gif)
SportAuto with Horst Von Saurma ran the SLS AMG in 7:40 spot on with the manufacturer's claim. That is only 2 seconds slower than 458 Italia, GT-R and ZR-1 with the same driver.
The LFA SportAuto supertest will also be released later this month:

True.
I found some British magazines such as TopGear, Evo etc., but no German one's.

0-60 mph in 4.2 secs for LFA while they got a 3.3 secs from the 458 Italia? LFA has a better power-to-weight ratio still.
0-100 mph in 8.2 seconds when almost all of other comparisons it is more in the 7.6 - 7.8 secs region without launch control also.
The 0 - 150 mph is actually slower than what the IS-F 0 - 150 mph is.
That is one hell of an amazingly lame comparison.![Thumb Down](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsdown.gif)

Thanks for posting, Vladi. Much appreciated. Looking forward to seeing the AutoZeitung comparison.

Agreed. The 458 Italia has a very well sorted out launch control system.
I have been raising this issue for a long time that Lexus keeps supplying prototypes for tests without launch control (or any proper way to launch it). It is not an automatic transmission that will allow brake-torquing.
Most of these magazines are stomping the throttle from idle and are way off the conservative 3.6 secs claim of Lexus. LFA has a solid 125 - 126 mph trap speed even without launch control, which means it is a solid low-11 second car (11.3 - 11.4), but no publication is doing its performance any justice.
I don't know when will Lexus realize it is costing it precious tenths and as a result hurting its reputation.

That white one is beaten up to death.
AutoZeitung used a red one which I presume is a new and fresh prototype.
Don't bother about this comparo they just wanted to show how serious 458 is. If you pick Noble before LFA I really don't know what to say.
