You know they did the 0 - 100 - 0 test LFA vs R8 twice just to see how things would go. The results?
The LFA got nearly identical results to what it did initially. The R8? It stopped a massive 17 feet ahead of the LFA, losing by a long shot.
The brakes in the LFA hold up 10 times better against the R8 during bouts of repeated braking.
The R8 won the first one by a measly 2 feet, and then lost the 2nd one by 17 feet, and would presumably lose the 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc. by ~17 feet.
They didn't show this on the actual episode, but there is a video of it -

Great video. Thanks for posting.
It is great to see LFA launching so consistently fast with launch control.

This is actually incorrect. If you watch the video I posted in my previous message, you'll see that Tanner actually hit the nail right on the head and braked right when he hit 100.0 MPH. You can't get any more perfect than that.
Paul actually braked when the Audi was at 102 MPH and won the first bout by 2 feet.
But, like I said, the R8 lost the 2nd one by a massive 17 feet due to brake fade. The LFA has vastly more powerful (in terms of robustness) brakes - and this is really critical on a long road course. That should be what matters, so if you take that into consideration, the LFA is clearly superior to the R8 in the area of braking "overall."
Sure, on the first bout of a straight 0 to 100 to 0 test the Audi will win the braking wars, but what good is it if that advantage only holds up for one bout? Supercars aren't meant to be raced a single time in a straight line. Robustness matters, and this is where the LFA outshines the R8.

LoL its's a coin toss.. "Audi wins!!! "
The show has flaws... not the cars...
What they need is a better "Producer" for the show.. LoL

They go by "one-shot" rule of street racing where there is only chance to see how cars do against each other unless the car malfunctions.
Anyway, considering R8 V10 with e-gear can easily do 0 - 60 mph in 3.4 - 3.5 seconds and 1/4 mile in 11.5 - 12.0 secs range (depending on the test) goes to show how fast LFA is.

LFA is a solid mid-3 seconds 0-60 mph and 11.2 - 11.3 seconds car in 1/4 mile.

That show was for enterntainment. Why only 4 tests, and 3 were more or less about straight line performance?
I used to think the R8 was low/wide and sleek, but that is pale when sitting side by side with the LFA ( of course I am biased).
I love it when Tanner kept on praising the LFA and called it his car! Paul also had very high regards for it with his comments.

So on the initial braking test with cold brakes for the LFA, it lost out by two feet? That's amazing, and then seeing the next test and how the LFA held it's consistency, it's a testament to what Scott Pruet said, the brakes are amazing, something like they are the best part of the car, and he hasn't experienced a road car that brakes like that ever. I believe it.

I like how Paul was saying how Tanner was handcuffing the LFA key, sounds like Paul wanted to get to the Lex! Based on the high praise I bet the LFA will be making another appearance on BOTSC & Paul will be behind the wheel.

Lexus LFA is a "track monster" and Tanner hit the nail right on the head.
It is just unbeatable around a race track. LFA just made minced meat out of the R8 V10 despite Tanner falling asleep off the line by 5 - 6 car lengths. It was pulling the R8 V10 from the outer edges of the corner and on the straights toying with it on every turn and straights. Finish line difference of 8 - 10 car lengths is huge.
It is funny on streetfire how everyone is calling LFA a "track monster". If they see the AutoBild results, it will become clear LFA is even faster than ZR-1, LP570-4 etc. around Nurburgring track.
