I met Justin Bell tonight at the LA Auto Show! He had nothing but great things to say about the LFA.

My guess would be he praised the engine and its response, chassis, balance, handlling and brakes the most?
Then again, he races Corvettes so he might have a different set of criteria such as, low end torque etc.

Joe, do you know when Lexus will be calling all the prototypes back to Japan and destroy them since production time is almost here now??
Definitely, seems like a lot is happening at the LA show. Nissan just did its world premier of the new R35.2 GTR. Now they officially seem to be claiming better straight line numbers than the LFA with a 0 - 60 mph in less than 3 seconds. I can already hear "Better acceleration than LFA for less than 1/3rd the cost". Nissan fanbois are going to have a field day with this. Sucks to hear that about my most favorite car of all times.

Now that Lexus/USA is planning on offering a driver training program at Infineon in the LFA to all US LFA buyers next year, I'm going to assume the current prototypes are what are going to be used for the sessions - so I doubt the prototypes are going anywhere anytime soon.

Ooops. Mis-read Joe's post. I thought he said no LFA at the LA autoshow.
Awesome pictures!

My assumption is that they will be training us in prototypes, not our own LFAs (the dates they are batting around for the Infineon program are independent of buyer delivery dates) - which is why I'm guessing that the prototype LFAs will be around at least as long as that driving program.

Logic tells me it is since the LFA is not a heavy car. The LS460/600 switched to the 5x120 cause it weigh 4400~5000 lbs.
It is not important though, since that OEM LFA wheels won't fit any existing Lexus cars since the wheels is designed for a bolt instead of the conventional nut.
Anyone knows the reason for using a bolt? I asked a Toyota project manager about that and he told me is for weight saving, somehow I don't buy that, I don't see how using a bolt instead of a nut can save any measureable weight
I am guessing he made that up to brush me off because he doesn't know the real reason behind it.

LoL... I am still shocked that the Pearl Yellow LFA didn't get sent to LA.
I mean I am happy the Smoky Granite LFA is there, but figured the newest color would be there..
Nice to know the Yellow LFA is doing some more dealership pitstops right before it hits the SF Auto Show this coming week!!
