I'm now realizing the cheaper, sexier Ferrari 458 Italia is faster in every single way. Hm. I mean it has 2 more horsepower, goes 1 mph faster, big deal right? But the Ferrari is 200 pounds lighter. This car is FAR from Zonda and SLR hypercar territory as others have claimed before. My feelings slowly waning...
That 458 weight you are talking about is dry weight, not curb weight. Unsurprisingly, Ferrari has not given the curb weight of the 458, likely because it's less impressive than the dry weight number

The LFA's number looks like curb weight to me.

Overall, I find this top speed very hard to believe. Compared to the ISF, the LFA is lighter, has much more power, and has a more aerodynamic body. The LFA should be able to hit 202 mph without much effort. Over 202 mph should be very possible in the LFA.
The LFA's power-to-weight ratio destroys the ISF. Yet, it only reaches a top speed 32 mph higher?

There is absolutely nothing impressive about this car aside from its looks, so I'm guessing that the price will be considerably lower and the number of units entering production considerably higher. I honestly do not see a point in making a car this 'unimpressive,' performance-wise, sell at nearly $350,000 on a limited-production run. It makes no sense at all.

Actually, ISF top speed is 170 mph (electronically limited) on Lexus.com
. During testing, ISF prototypes hit 175 mph.

I'm not sure if we know what the actual potential is for the F top speed, but those of us that have been up at the speed on the road feel that it still seems strong and that there is potentially more there.
JoeZ, are you aware of the true top speed???

Back on Topic, the LFA is a beautiful machine that puts down some impressive numbers. I find it funny that people are comparing Lexus' very first, true supercar to Ferrari's and such and dissappointed that it doesn't blow them away.

It's a pretty darn impressive start, imho.

Upon further consideration, assuming these are official specs the only thing I am dissapointed about really is the top speed and torque numbers. At the very least top speed is over the all-important 200 mph barrier.
Everything else about the car is very impressive IMHO.

I'm thinking that they traded the LF-A's top speed for better cornering speed in its aero tuning. Seeing how the LF-A has a much better weight distribution of 48/52 compared to many mid-engined cars (the 458 Italia's is 42/58, for example), I wouldn't be surprised if the LF-A beats it in the 'Ring time despite the power and weight disadvantages (and I think the LF-A's extra weight comes from the FR layout needing a big drive shaft).

It's a good first try with very poor constraints.
Most of us will never see one, let alone own one. That's definitely ****ty, considering I can take the next plane to Toronto and buy a brand new Ferrari, for less, and have it delivered to my front door within the next 24 hours.
