Hoping for adoption of new LFA Tech to New GS (2012?)
Take a look at this http://ww2.lexus-lfa.com/index.html. I'm hoping some of the tech built in to the new LFA makes its way into other Lexus products like the next gen GS.

I doubt the V-10 makes it into the GS-F but I have a feeling a GS-F is very much in the works now.

G Man....what makes you think they're selling it at a loss? I've not heard a thing about the car being sold at a loss but I suppose it's possible. After all 350k really isn't a large number considering who Lexus thinks their competing with.

Lexus is only making 500 the 1st year, I dont see how they can make a profit with such low volume.

and also, the bugatti veyron (first gen), also sold at a HUGE loss per vehicle.
back on topic. i would also want to see what kind of tech they can port over to the next generation gs, and more interestingly, the gsf. as i have explained in the lfa thread, i don't think the v10 drivetrain in the lfa will make it to the gsf, the price just doesn't make sense
but hopefully some other concepts like the use of cf and suspension can see the light

OK guys.....got it. So there's not direct profit in the LFA. I'm hoping they can figure out how to get the 12:1 compression ration to market for all to see without requiring >93 octane. Thats getting up there and we'll be in diesel territory soon with compression ratios that high. But the performance has to be kick butt

The Bugatti Veyron is always sold at a loss by VWAG... it costs over $5 mil. to produce and they sell it at about $1.5 mil.

Yup Rominl, I just looked it up and you're right. The GS350 is 11.8:1 so thats close enough for me. Wonder why the LFA has a minimum octane rating of 95 since the compression ratio is actually quite close. Any idea?
