^ notice how it jumps from 2 to 4 in the beginning, i'm guessing that the hash marks between 0 and 2, and 2 and 4 are for 1 and 3...and the rest of the way up are halves?? correct me if i'm wrong

Because the engine speed between 0 to 4k rpm is insignificant, more focus is put on rpm range above 4k hence the gap in numbering in the tach. The LFA's engine will spend very little time in the low RPM range in regular or spirited driving.
