Mercedes-AMG chief on the LFA, IS-F, CTS-V: "don't know", "nobody cares"

he should be fired for not knowing in depth about ALL potential competitors, and his PR handler should be fired for leaving him so ill-prepared for the interview.
instead of saying "i don't know" he could have said "we're still evaluating it" even if not really true.

Complete arrogance, the IS-F, has eight speeds, better gas mileage, and is cheaper then any AMG benz.
The CTS-V, has 550HP, is faster, and is around the same price of the C63 AMG, and much cheaper then the E63 AMG.
So, I rather have a IS-F or CTS-V over the C63 and E63 anyday, and there are others that feel the same way, that these benz's are overpriced for what you get.

odds are that this guys just stepped into Murphy Law at full speed, the words I don't know will slap him in the face as he drives to work and sees all the I don't knows on the road out perform his Benz

I'll have to call you out in it being cheaper. A C63 AMG starts at $63k here, whilst an IS F starts at $67k. Believe it or not, the C63 is the cheapest of the bunch, but it burns fuel like an Iraqi oil well.

Wow. That's an eye-opener. He sounds more like a fanboy than an Exec. Perhaps the translation had something to do with it though? I think he's more arrogant than ignorant though. He must be aware of the competition but downplayed it excessively in public. He obviously read all the comparisons.. lol

Man he's arrogant but I can't fault a person on voicing his opinion. Will I purchase an IS F over a C63 hmm maybe?
I love Cad since their American but it's no way i'm going to purchase a CTS-V over E63. I don't care how well the numbers.
fyi: I just think the guy was telling the untruth.

"Oh we don't know what an A class is, what is that"?
"What the hell is an Acura RL, we sell in image and prestige they have none"?
It would sound ridiculous.

That's one of the first things I thought about too when I started to read this. People who don't speak English as a first language sometimes repeat words or sounds too while they think about what they are going to say next so maybe it's one of those things too.
I think this is one of those things that if you heard/saw the interview it'd be easier to decipher, however, since we only have it to read it can be a little misleading; of course this is giving him the benefit of the doubt.
