Default CONFIRMED!!! Lexus GS-F to get LFA V10 (Not confirmed)

Lexus is planning to take on the BMW M5 with a super-saloon version of the GS, powered by the LFA’s V10, and will follow up that car with a new SC aimed at the likes of the Mercedes SL....

Not doubting it, but I'm still waiting for official word. Too bad they didn't cite any sources.

seems kind of pointless to use the LFA's V10 if that engine is going to cost so much to produce. Why wouldnt they just use something like the LX570's 5.7L engine w/ the TRD Supercharger. It produces smooth torque which makes a lot more sense in a GS570 or SC570 etc.

It should be interesting to see how this works out. I mean with the V10 probably comes a sticker price of 100k. I agree with SPLIT, the V8 with a supercharger would have been the right way to keep the price more affordable with prices being more like the RS4 at about 70-80k. Lexus didn't do so well with the F-Sport parts, it would have been nice had they taken this into consideration. How many current GS owners who paid 50-60k for their GS's will be able to make the jump up with another 40-50k increase?

I think if Lexus can get all the ingredients right this time (handling, looks, luxury) the car will sell @ $100k.

I definitely would not say that this is 'Confirmed' by any means. Consider the source.
