More comparison with the Supra, your post screams ignorance.

Are you referring to the rumored "Ring edition" production model?

If so, that's probably because they will call it the LFA CCS .

Forgot to add about the exhaust. It's definitely modified, and the intake has some minor mods. Doesn't look like anything major done to the intake. The extra intakes and outlets on the hood are likely to help aero and cooling.

Comparison between 2010 N24 LFA and 2009 N24 LFA models:

2010 N24 LFA (I have enhanced the image to better see the details of the exhaust and diffuser):

In comparison here is a shot of the 2009 N24 car:

You can see the diffuser is much deeper on the 2010 car, and the triple exhausts are no longer there, instead you can see what looks like a dual-exhaust setup. Getting rid of the triple exhaust freed up some space for more air to flow through the middle section of the diffuser.

This 2010 car should definitely be generating more downforce than the 2009 car. This should mean more grip and handling.

Looking at the pictures of this 2010 car in detail, it seems it may not be as production-based as the 2009 cars were. It looks like Toyota has made more hardcore modifications with this 2010 car.

Compared to the production LFA, this 2010 race LFA also looks to have wider front and rear tracks.

Also it's confirmed that Akio Toyoda won't be driving at this year's race. They have a very serious lineup of drivers for the two LFAs this year. Definitely seems like they're more focused on getting some great finishes with the cars this year.

I think they are out for blood this time around. The exhaust system may have allowed for more power as well as freeing up space for better aero. They might have done a double diffuser setup like from the TF109 last year perhaps?

^You guys are right. Looking at the pictures more and more, it's really obvious that this new LFA racer has all the hardcore mods and is all about taking the overall win this year. I regret jumping into conclusion too soon in my earlier post. Can't wait to see the beast in action!

The engine has that gold F plaque like the LFA which premiered at the Tokyo Motor Show, rather than the standard F badge like other pictures.
