Yes, I got the glass block already. The letter from Lexus USA accompanying the block mentioned the base.

Saw this on another forum. Not sure if its has already been covered. I had no idea he produces his own wine.

Not a very flattering comment about the LFA. "Decent car, but pays the bills". I wonder if the poster toned Scott's admiration down on purpose or Scott has grown indifferent about the LFA (possibly due to driving it all the time for over a year).

I doubt he said it just as 'decent', unless Lexus pays him to brag about it. There's no need to though, almost everyone that drives it agrees it's pretty awesome.

talking to him at fontana about the lfa and hot laps, i think he likes the car a lot. especially from a true driver's perspective, the car is really great. me myself, i don't think i will be bored driving the car on the track for 10k miles.

funny thing is the wine says 2008. so they planned this back in 2008? or maybe last yr they decided that 171 is coming to the US so they printed all those labels and bottled the wine. that can explain why they can't allocate the cars anywhere else?

10months later and i dont see any pics of the cars. You guys have great patience as i would have pulled my hair out by now. Gratz for being able to get the car, and future gratz when you actually get to drive it and spoil your pants.

Given a 6-month-ish order-to-delivery date for built-to-order 458s via ocean freight and actually slightly longer delivery times for the upper range of Porsche vehicles that I typically read on other forums, I'm happy living with ~9 months for the LFA (I didn't put in my order until June 2010, although I did deposit quite a bit earlier than that). Plus, they don't even track test the 458 before delivery like Lexus does for the LFA.
