Here's my latest LFA prediction.
If they all truly sell out, I don't believe Lexus won't make more. I believe more will be made but Lexus won't admit this until all 500 are in the hands of the owners.

nop, not all sold. evidently lexus still has more cars at least for the US market and they are asking for more prospective buyers to call and apply. it's mentioned in the main thread in the car chat forum

Hell, if I'm going to spend in the $400,000 range for a car it sure as hell isn't going to be for a Lexus when I could get a Lambo or Ferrari. If you want that kind of coin for a car then it better be one of the fastest cars on the highway.

What are all your thoughts? My IS-F is getting traded off next spring and I was all excited about getting one of these LFA's or a Z-R1. No way I spend that kind of money on the LFA though.

wait a minute the Lexus salesman sold you the idea on the LFA when you were already olid on your decision to not spent that kind of money on the LFA? that is a great salesman!

by the way, this thread was funny.

This kind of reminds me of a friend who recently approached me ranting about how expensive Bang and Olufsen was and how he compared the tv to his Samsung flat panel. I just brushed it off and changed topics as some people just haven't been exposed to certain information, they don't truly understand and appreciate certain things.

I can make analogies like this all day long but the LFA fanatics here already know what I'm talking about.

My LFA rep said that all original 150 units were sold. They (Lexus USA) got an additional 21 from other region(s). I don't know why they don't just call up the people who were rejected on the first go to see if they are still interested. Perhaps they just want to see how well the LFA/Lexus commercial works...

It depends what is meant by "sold". I can unequivocally state that Lexus USA has not received 150 orders. They may have received 150 initial deposits, but those are refundable.

Yesterday was the first day I actually saw the commercial with the LFA breaking the glass....saw it 2 times.
I must say the car looks way better to me on TV. I want one. I want one for real.

I can only quoted what was given to me. When is the cutoff for ordering in the US?
In Canada, we have to make the second deposit BEFORE ordering.

imho, that only means that they have exhausted the whole list they had before and couldn't find more buyers. that's the only reason the 866 number is working and they are asking for more prospective buyers. otherwise, it's complete redundant work when they have a lot of people from original list not getting the car

Well that could be true. However, if not all 150 original units were confirmed orders, and they exhausted the original potential customer list, then it looks like they are taking quite a risk accepting 21 more units.
We've all read here that there are big demands back in Japan for the LFA.
