Wow, that's a stock LFA too! This really shows some of the dynamics behind the LFA since the M3 GTS is probably a bit lighter than most LFA specs.

I wonder if this video is recent - is this Lexus doing some testing, or mag tests, or even a privately owned drive?

Not surprised. The LFA is obviously faster than the M3 GTS. The dynamics and handling of the LFA is just on another level compared to the M3 GTS.

They are completely different in function though. The M3 GTS is an absolutely gutted car, as close to a clubsport as a road-legal car can get - compared to the base car it's got no A/C, nav, sound system, or even rear seats, and features a hugely upgraded engine, completely revised suspension, and much bigger brakes. Heck the GTS even has a roll cage. It's nice the LFA still looks like it's quite a bit more dynamic even in fully-loaded production form (of course, driver skill discrepancy could still play a factor here) and certainly bodes well for just how amazing the Nürburgring Edition will be.

That M3 is capable of 7:40's at the ring, so I wouldn't be surprised to see 7:20's from the LFA. You can see how much faster the LFA takes that bend, it's only logical to assume the times would be that much faster. It is a production LFA as well, or a newer prototype, but I haven't seen one with the silver wheels like this car has.

I know this video isn't even a proper comparison but in the shots we do see and is pre-cut for us, the LFA makes that M3GTS look like a lawnmower!

This is true, but the point remains they are in two different classes. While the M3 GTS is a highly tuned "close to a clubsport" sports car, the LFA is a supercar, simply put a different class. Yes, I imagine a 'Ring edition LFA would certainly be even faster through that corner than a regular LFA.

^Even so, it's a capable car, 450+hp, around 3200lbs. Sticky tires, a VERY capable chassis, that thing is no slouch. It is capable of 7:40's at the ring. So the LFA like I said should be at least a good 10-20 seconds, faster- if not more.

Another new silver LFA surfaces in NY. This is a different one from the other videos we have seen (one from Austin, TX and the other from Atlanta, GA):

That looks like light blue (aqua) to me. It's hilarious that the video shooter ran to find the source of the revving sound.

you're right. However, I know of a car is of standard color and still over a year away...

What was the red car in front of the LFA?

That is one of the best colors on LFA. Looks very similar to the E9X satin silver metallic 2 that I have seen in real life many times that looks blueish under bright sunlight.

I guess the 'wrap' is finished on the black LFA turning it yellow-

Also found this one of the Blue one in the UK- drag racing an IS-F!

And here again at full acceleration, the sound is amazing!

Very nice find!

That clearly shows the difference between a mid-12 second IS-F and LFA. Very clean launch and strong pull through the first 3 gears.

I figured out what car was on the other long straight. It was a Carrera GT. I wonder if they actually did a drag race with Carrera GT?
