Lexus LFA Nürburgring Package to Debut at Geneva Auto Show (March 3rd, 2011)

I'd like to think that Lexus is saving it marketing ammunition in order to prolong the LFA effect for the brand. I think sometime before the production run ends, we will see the official performance stats. There is currently a lot of excitement about the car already, why spend more effort promoting it while there are only around 40 production units out there.
The other aspect is that perhaps they don't want to be seen as using the stats to push the sales like what Nissan did for the GT-R or some other supercars.
What I am most curious now is how the LFA is doing in Japan, especially in the exotic buying community, until the US's allocation is gone, Japan has the most cars sold.

Great point. It could potentially backfire though, because unless those figures are absolutely spectacular, they would certainly seem a lot less impressive or even be eclipsed by the end of it's run due to the spate of awesome cars that are sure to be pretty quick that will be out by then, and who I am sure will not be tip toeing around touting their capabilities and lap times.

Wow now that's balling!! I'm assuming he (or she, or did you actually mean plural?) is ordering the regular LFA with every option fully loaded for daily driving, and the 'Ring Edition with everything stripped and deleted for track events.

Plural, and yes Ring car is for track duty.

Weight saving
So a while back we were wondering about the weight saving for the Ring Edition. I have just received the exact figures for the ML Nav and the rear spoiler assembly:
- ML/Nav system 12KG
- Auto rear spoiler 17KG
- Fixed rear spoiler 9.4KG
So there is a potential saving of 20KG (45 lbs) with these two items.
