Looks like you have not been following the threads much in the past.

LP570-4 Superleggera happens to be Lamborghini's best track performer, but it is stripped down to the welds and intended to be driven around the track. It is much lighter than the LP560-4 as well (hence the 'Superleggera').

Every publication comparing the cars seem to have preferred the Lexus LFA such as, the Stig in TopGear magazine 'greatest supercar of 2010', 'Evo UK: best car of the year' and also 'Evo UK: Best engine of the year' (which LFA won).

To put things into context, LP570-4 around the track is much superior to LP560-4.

When a beaten and abused old 8000 mile Lexus LFA prototype was put through its paces against the LP570-4 Superleggera with super-slick Pirelli Corsa tires around long version of the Nurburgring by German AutoBild magazine, this is what happened.

If LFA had been also wearing some seriously sticky dry-only rubber like Pirelli Corsa or Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, it would have been a lot different than even this.

sigh, see, i am just imagining how much flame suits i have to put on before writing more...

before i go too far, i will just say this. i never said it's boring tracking the lfa (i would be stupid to say so). but thinking about 90% (maybe even 99%) of the time the way owners will be driving this car, that was my starting point

i think this is so subjective and personal, it's really about preference. some like ferrari for whatever it is, and some just doesn't like the styling of lfa coz' it looks big (and i think it does) and high lines.

I think it looks big in some pictures, but up close it's not that big. the GTR though, that's big, and the CAMARO, that thing is HUGE, nothing sleek and low about that car, it's even bigger than the Mustang.

I think all the posts in response so far assumed (perhaps incorrectly) that you were referring to the LFA being boring on the track, so I wouldn't worry about it. As I said before, I'm looking forward to your commentary especially since I'll have the chance to drive/track the LFA pretty soon myself.

Agreed.

I gained a whole new respect and appreciation for what race car drivers do during that experience. Cars that are this fast and powerful are not easy to drive at the limit.

Looks like these are the only threads you follow.

Once again, you provided nothing to suggest that the Gallardo is "not in the league" of the LFA. The LFA is definitely faster. Please show where I ever stated otherwise.

Guys knock off the personal back and forth "you said" "I didn't say" bickering please. Take it to PM, maturely.

looks like a gallardo owner. i don't know, i am surprised about this driving. he didn't even shift at redline? and it definitely sux that they caught up with the isf group.

awesome hot laps by scott in the 2nd part of the video though. i will post mine too, but it was so hard to hold everything still with all those hard acceleration and braking, camcorder was flying everywhere @_@

Actually half way through the video, Scott Pruett takes the driver seat and runs two hot laps.

Still working on a "Wet" Lap review of the LFA...

Let's just say in my opinion..

*** You haven't driven a Lexus, until you have driven the LFA!!

"Made in F"

Scott Pruett drives the LFA truly the way it was meant to be driven.

I mean, watch the satellite video VBOX details, he never ever shifts below 9500 rpm. From 3rd to 4th shift, the revs dropped to 8100 rpm. A few times I have even seen the needle touching 9600 - 9700 rpm.

Scott was having fun. You could see him taking turns with that thing with hardly any correction. All that on tires that can go in the wet also. He said he'd take it against Ferrari's Maserati's, anything in that category. Good to know.
