Seems like the transmission definitely was not in the fastest shift mode. Did they select the slower speed on purpose???
Also, if you lift the foot off the throttle during shifts, it will also result in a pause.

The shift did feel very slow and I did not lift either, the track was wet so we were limited to 9000 rpm in Wet mode.
I was faster in the IS-f but driving a rare and very expensive car makes you a little more cautious about chucking it around
Certainly an experience I will never forget especially as I was just meant to be a spectator

Yeah, definitely the shift mode was far from the fastest (there are 7 total shift modes). Also, the driving also was very restrained obviously because you were new to the car and it was wet.
