The point of the article is, modding with turboes ofcourse is the cheapest route in any case. A $30K Subaru STi could be built to become a 9 second drag strip warrior, but it would never have a remotely comparable response or driving experience as the LFA of revving the naturally aspirated F1 V10 engine up to 9500 rpm. Same reason why they put the McLaren F1 in the list as well.

Not to sound stupid, but I am totally ignorant about LFA's, other than its the hottest super car there is for me, lol. But technologically, I don't know much. Is it possible to even mod the LFA performance wise? I know that ISF performance mods are very limited, due to the fact that they can't be tuned, so naturally I just assumed the LFA was the same story.

LFA Nurburgring is one of my top 3 fav cars of all time and the top 3 are in no particular order.
The others are Pagani Cinque and the Carrera GT.
I don't like the stock LFA wheels, but the Nurburgring BBS Y spoke style ones will do. I totally understand the sentiment to slam this baby on a set of 21" Work wheels. The only crap thing about Work wheels are that they're heavy. A 20" Work Gnosis CV202 is 30lbs+. Well engineered, but still heavy than what you can get from Volk, BBS, HRE, OZ, etc.
LFA N is sooooooo special.

The engine is already very highly strung in naturally aspirated form, bolt-on N/A mods is the only theoretical modifications that can be done to the engine safely.
