I've read several publications that say they are magnesium, but don't know for sure...
Here's a past post though that gives you some detail on similar BBS design that called them "The OEM wheels off the Nur edition is essentially a forged magnesium BBS RE-Mg"

There are no markings on the front or rear of the wheels that indicate they are Magnesium...they also do not cost anywhere close to what ive seen Mag, wheels go for.
I have access to a set, and they sure dont feel or look like they are magnesium. Ill check again
The weight of a rear 20x11 is 14.6KG

This wasnt weighed using a calibrated scale or anything, so might be a bit off, but according to my source, the cost of the normal LFA wheels is actually a bit more than the Nur Edition wheels...So unless something has changed between 2012 and now with regards to these wheels, this is what im basing my non scientific guess on.

Would be interesting to know for sure. Certainly at some point Lexus was putting out detail that said they were which was picked up on the below, but certainly could have changed at production

Slapping a Nurburgring label onto the LFA means that it gets a number of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) parts, including revised front splitter and canards, sculpted side sills, and a fixed rear wing. Ride height drops by 0.4-inches for a better center of gravity. Mesh forged magnesium BBS wheels wrapped in stickier Bridgestone rubber provide a Gorilla Glue grip on tarmac.

Ive reached out to a few people to see and confirm.
But at 32lbs, its rather heavy for a mag wheel, even as an OE option. Also, I was told normally there is an insert 'seat' that the lugs would sit on, on a magnesium wheel. This set does not have that...

32lbs seems too heavy even for aluminum wheels......
I don't really engage with Lexus corporate or any of the ex-LFA team anymore but I'll shoot a query out. Or one of our more-connected forum members will chime in shortly, I'm sure.

My understanding is that the ring cars do have magnesium wheels
Here is an excerpt from 2011 about the ring edition package

Ride height drops by 0.4-inches for a better center of gravity. Mesh forged magnesium BBS wheels wrapped in stickier Bridgestone rubber provide a Gorilla Glue grip on tarmac.
To compensate for the newfound downforce (which bumps up drag and cuts speed), engineers squeezed 10 more horses from the Formula 1-derived 4.8-liter V-10 engine. All 562 horsepower is routed through a six-speed auto-clutch manual transmission that now blips off shifts in 0.15-seconds.
Like the car itself, exterior paint options are quite limited; only matte black, black, white, and orange can be had, while inside, buyers can choose between black/red, black/purple, or black/black themes. Unfortunately for Yankee buyers, only European and Japanese-spec rides will get a carbon fiber center console, door panels, and a pair of Recaro buckets wrapped in plush Alcantara.

LOL! Welcome to the old geezer chrome club. Technically its polished...but yeah.
Regarding those articles, there are many that dont mention them as magnesium at all, so really, who do you listen to, its motoring journalists, they also say the gearbox are bad, lol..
