How do you guys know the posting is real? Chambers has a (0) ebay seller rating?
Firstly, with so many pics of the car the car itself must be real. Secondly, the seller is already paying eBay a huge amount of insertion fee just to get this car listed with such a high starting price so the seller must be serious. And finally, Autoblog has called the dealership to confirm the authenticity of the listing.
Interesting connection to the dealership owner's previous car, but Autoblog also reported that they called the dealership and was told a story that "the original orderer of the car came in to inspect it, got a walk-around with Lexus' LFA-specific expert who was on-hand to assist, briefly drove it and then decided he would let someone else purchase it.", in which case there's no fault on Lexus's part (retracting my blame from my previous post).
hahaha, dealership story. i never take their words very seriously. i don't think it's fault on lexus part at all anyway. someone ordered the car and didn't want it anymore, make it herb or someone else.

you pay straight % of the asking price for insertion fee, even on automobile? i thought there is a cap on how much it is. but any case, those are immaterial compared to the value of the car imho

True... that said orderer may still very well be Herb himself lol.

Ah you're right. Never looked into selling cars on eBay before and always assumed it's the same deal as selling other items. The insertion of a car listing is actually free unless it sells, and even then it's a pretty reasonable fixed pricing.
