Smile Best Place to buy H.I.D

Working for a Toyota Dealership here in Vegas we get a lot of requests for H.I.D retrofits. I am here to let you know that the kit we have found to be the HIGHEST QUALITY and a TERRIFIC VALUE for the $$$ is a ISO 9000 CERTIFIED manufacturer called BRIGHTSTAR.The quality rivals that of anything on the market, is a plug and go install and is very reasonable. You don't have to worry about quality, like a lot of the kits the parent company is a huge manufacturer in China for many years and has an excellent reputation for quality. I have these on my GS for low and fogs....AWESOME!!! Several colors and all sizes to choose from and the guy who runs the company "TIM" is a pleasure to deal with. Check out the BRIGHTSTAR website and BUY THEM at... WWW. IMPORTHOOKUP.COM ask for "TIM" he's a pleasure to deal with and fast shipper too!!!
Any ?'s pm me.. SalonBoy

I've never heard of brightstar. I"m sold on Phillips6000k kits. It looks like the most consist kit on the market. I still don't know what brand looks the best(or closest) to the Phillips6000k kit.
Does anyone know?

I have McCulloch HID kits, they are pretty good, I like them. Heres a link with a lot of pics and info comparing diffrent HID kits, bulbs, ballasts, etc.
http://www.mccullochhid.com/index2.htm

And McCulloch HID kits are cheaper than Philips, etc, but still good quality. I can get them for cheap still, even though they are illegal now, I just picked up my kit for my car like 2 months ago, and I love them

EDIT: and for matching regular halogen bulbs, I hear Sylvania Silverstars are very similar, though I haven't used them personally. I looked at them though, and they are pricey....

Read my post on the first page of this thread. Stick with name brand components such as Philips or Osram for bulbs and ballasts. There is a lot of imitation stuff out there and a lot of shady dealers claiming Philips kits and Osram kits conataining knock-offs. It's tough to tell. Here is a brief lowdown.

HID-online.com - their kits are made up of Philips ballasts and Philips bubls that have been rebased for halogen sockets, ie. 9006, 9004, H1, etc. The are very reputable and their customer service is outstanding.

XenonDepot.com - They also sell Philips ballasts and bulbs. There has been some speculation weather or not their bulbs are genuine Philips bulbs, but the life on their bulbs is just as good as a Philips bulbs and they stand behind their products 100%. I've looked carefully into this and I believe their bulbs to be 100% Philips that have been rebased

just4bulbs@yahoo.com - I've spoken with this guy via email at length over his kits. He sells genuine Philips ballasts and bulbs that have been rebased. There are people here you have his kits and other forums too. They all say the same thing. Great products. Great communications with customers before and after the sale and he stands behind his products. What more can you ask for.

Catz - Sold online through visualdynamics.ca. Very reputable manufacturer of aftermarket HID kits. A little expensive, but good quality kits.

Misterjung.com - STAY AWAY! nuff said.

KWImports - Sells on ebay. Says they are philips bulbs and ballasts, but I can't say as I've never spoken to him about his kits. I've read some posts from people who say they are happy with the kit. Make your own judgement.

Bottom line - Do your homework before plunking down $400-$700 for a kit. I'll also say this. I can't justify saving $150 if it's going to cost me the price of another kit if I make a mistake and go with an unknown entity that turns out bad. It's worth the extra money to do it right the first time.

Another $.25 worth!

I purchased my kit from Ken (sales@kwimports.com) and it is the real deal. If you purchase from him, let him know that Bryan with the Lexus sent you. That way he will take care of you.
