I was wondering if you can upgrade my existing oem d2r bulbs with d2s bulbs?
is base size the same for both? what would be the problem if there is any?
I have factory hid with d2r bulbs now.

nop they are not the same. they are very similar but one **** at the bottom of the base are different between the two, they are on different side (you will know what i mean if you put two together). however, it's not the end of the world. just use a dremel to cut out the d2r **** position on the d2r and you are good to go

I haven't bought the bulbs yet. Do you think its worth it to buy d2s instead of d2r and try to fit? would the d2s have more brighter? thanks

the d2s will be a bit brighter, i have d2r 6000k, and if i were to do it again i would get the d2s and mod it. keep in mind though the extra light, most if it, won't be on the ground, it will scatter. but it looks cool
