4100k are all oem hid, the most usable light. anything higher by theory has less light. however i hvae 6000k and i don't notice anything less in light output
and yes, hb4 is same as 9006

Just like Rominl said. HB4 and 9006 are one in the same. Now for what Kelving rated bulbs to buy. That's a matter of opinion. All OEM bulbs are 4100k(Philips) or 4300k(Osram) which give off a bright white color. The 6000k(Philips) will give off a bright white light with a blue tinge but there is no noticable difference in light output. Anything higher is going to be blue or purple with a great decrease in light output. The 4100/4300k bulbs are going to be less expensive than 6000k bulbs. Whatever you do, be sure to get a kit that uses Hella/Philips ballasts and Philips/Osram bulbs. With HID kits, the quality of the bulbs and ballasts is paramount. Don't go for any cheap imitation ballasts or bulbs.
Good luck.
