Default PIAA for Driving/High Beams

I went back and reviewed some posts that indicated that several of you had replaced your driving/high beam bulbs with PIAA Xtreme White bulbs. I'm curious as to how this changed the look of the driving light. Is it whiter/brighter?

I'm looking forward (not really) to installing PIAA Super Plasma bulbs in my fog lights this weekend.

there is no way you can make the day time driving light white. it's the high beam running at 50% power, so it's like 30w. no matter what super white you put in there, it will still be yellow

I don't quite understand the terminology that PIAA uses for determining the wattage of their bulbs. For example, the Xtreme White Plus series is noted as 60W=120W. Well, I know that 60W doesn't equal 120W, and they advertise them as street legal which leads me to believe that they are not 120W.

Perhaps they have the equivalent brilliance of a 120W bulb. In this case, half of 120W is 60W, which leads me to believe that as day-time driving lights, at 50% power they will appear as bright as a full-power (60W) high beam. This is what led me to my initial query.
