Henry, what are you planning with the 194s? And what color 74 did you put in the ignition?

i want one 194 for the trunk, right now it's still stock, so might just as well go white no licence plate though, last thing i want is cop to see my licence plate more clearly

and the ignition? of course superwhite

cool. I just put one of the LEDs in my trunk and it's pretty cool. a little blue compared to the Polargs, but it's all good. I'm going to have to decide between the glovebox and ignition for now...I really don't want to pay $5 shipping to order one more 74. If only I'd known the ignition could be done so easily!!!

Guys, Imho, I think that the led to replace the ignition should be the blue one. The stock bulb is green. I don`t think that super white in the ignition will do . I too ordered the super whites for the footwells and the blue for the ignition. If you take a good look at Brian`s instructions , you`ll notice that the replacement led is blue. Josey

time out, you saying that the pic BRIAN showed is blue led not super white? if so that blue is pretty "white" to me.

well, if you read when it shows the 2 bulbs, one led and the other the stock green, you can see first that it says blue led, and second that the led body is blue, so, guys, there is absolutely no mistake; it is blue, not white.

Also, I solved the vanity mirror bulb problem . I am using Polargs M-24 feston ones 12volts 5watts. They are exactly like the 3022s but skinnier, fit perfectly; I have them installed and look wonderful.

josey...I was wondering if it was white or blue in the pic, which is why I asked Henry. I think it could be white because my whites have a slight blue tinge to them, but you may be right since the body of the LED is blue in the pics. When I get them, I'll probably just get one of each and decide what I like better because I think blue might look better anyway (matching the gauge cluster).

How did you get into the vanity mirrors? Do the light covers just pop off? This is the final piece of the puzzle! Can you post pics?

Henry, you want to order me a white and a blue 74 with your order and stick it in an envelope for me? I'll paypal you a few bucks!

Just to clarify and not to take credit for someone else's work, those instructions I posted were off of Earl!'s LS400 website....all the credit belongs to him. I went with super white in my ignition light and not blue like Earl! did in his DIY instructions....it was just a matter of personal preference since every light in my interior (with the exception of the vanity mirrors) is super white to match my cluster...and trust me on this one, the super white led in the ignition matches my cluster almost perfectly.

I think the pic that I attached to my earlier post is super white. The hyperlink to Earl!'s DIY instructions has pics of the blue led in the ignition...that's what 04GS300 is referring to.

Edit: Dang, you guys reply quick!

Thanks, Brian! Is the LS cluster the same as the GS cluster color-wise?
