I searched and found threads on headlight disassembly, including the reference to the mkiv.com site. I still need some info on reassembling. I have seen 3 methods mentioned for adhesives.
1) Remove all the old stuff, use new silicone. (seems like it will be very difficult to get the old stuff out??)
2) Heat the parts, stick them back together with the old gray stuff. Silicone around the finished assembly as needed.
3) Leave the old stuff, add silicone on top of it, stick the pieces back together.
I am leaning towards #2. Anyone care to share their experience? Thanks,
