how do you know when you HID is going out?

maybe its just me but it seems that one of my bulbs is brighter than the other does this mean that one of my bulbs is going out ? maybe its time to upgrade to 6000k!!

for some reason i have seen both cases. bulbs went blue or yellow and gradually the bulbs died. very weird
