How would you compare them to the 6 and 9 led bulbs from HK. Since they are wide angle do they appear brighter from different angles? Hows the color compared to the 6000k philips? Thanks.

As far as brightness.....that all depends on brightness of the bulb VS. brightness of the wedge housing. IMO, its a close race between the 6-LED, 9-LED (common sense tells me its gonna be bright), and the SMD LEDs.
In terms which has a brighter housing....its definitely the SMD LEDs cuz they emit the light 140 degrees angle. The 6-LED and 9-LED emits light directly where its being pointed to....with some indirect reflecting light to the sides. I even tried modding/bending the LEDs on the 6-LED to point to the sides....and that seemed to work alot better....but the LEDs eventually burnt out (must have been the bad batch from HK).
From the side angle....definitely the SMD LEDs light up the housing better.
Here's an old pic of my Bellof Artic White in the wedge.
As for the color match to 6000K....the search continues. Its close, but Im still searching.

My bro is going back to Taiwan in April '05...so if you can wait that long....I can ask him to buy a bunch since I already told him to get me more. If I do this...its gonna be pre-pay only. No pay...no bulbs.
As you can see....the Taiwan SMD LED utilized the 6 rectangle shaped SMD LEDs....the one I have is all 6 Super White SMD LED.
My bro told me the store also sold them in combos ..... 1 blue SMD LED with 5 Super White SMD LED bulbs.
That one would be interesting....huh?
I wanna see if there is one with...... 1 purple SMD LED with 5 Super White SMD LED. I would think this would match the 6000K.

I already spoke to my bro.....he said he got friends going back to Taiwan in October....but his friends have no clue where to find these unless he explain to him where to get them.....otherwise, I gotta wait till April 2005 when my bro goes back.
Anyone else got buddies in Taiwan?

Nope...not yet....maybe you can be the first.
Btw....here's a closeup of the 9-LED bulb from CH Lau (Hong Kong). Its very bright with light reflecting to sides....but still most brightest when viewed straight on.
