Sorry, I dont have any experience with a 1996 ES300....so I have no clue what type of bulbs are needed to do a Superwhite LED swap.

You may find the answer on the ES300/330 section or better yet....remove the clear light covers yourself to see what you need.

do led's get hotter than normal bulbs? if so do any of you have any problems with melting lense covers? i want to replace my normal yellowed bulbs with white led's. Any tips?

LEDs dont really run hot at all....but some resistors used in LEDs do get warm.

Bumping this cause I have a question. Thought mine was out but it seems to come on when doors are open, before you put the key in. Is this right or is mine about to give out? It's not on while driving. 7 years later and I'm just now noticing this lol.
