Did anyone swap out their stock HID to 6000k or higher? (GS)

I have the genuine Phillips Ultinons 6000k in my HIDs, took them out of my 03 Maxima b4 I traded her for the GS4
first off, doing the driver side swap is a royal PITA....I cut up two hands doing so
secondly-the bulbs looked OK in my max, but seeing as how Lexus uses better grade reflectors and housings, the bulbs look SICK!!!!!
road lighting is definitely diminished because of the color increase but the weird thing is, your eyes see color better than more white light so they look brighter.
I can tell you this much, road signs and road lettering is seen MUCH better because of the color enhancing the reflective paint
The only downside to them is the price, I paid $300 shipped or so for mine from www.suvlights.com who is the only authorized Phillips Ultinon reseller in the country and offers their full 1 year warranty.

Here is a link to pics of my car with the upgraded OEM HIDS from 4300K to 6000K

They are D2R based, not 9006. 9006 go in the fogs. My fogs are converted from halogen to HID 6000K.

Damn I likez, I found some 6000k bulbs on ebay for like 180 bucks. Nice but @ the moment can't put that on my priorty list. That's probably going to be towards the end when I'm out of things to do or a bulb goes.

I thought the same way as you, especially after blowing $200 a set on cheap korean/taiwanese bulbs previously. This time, when I accidently broke an OEM HID bulb, I decided to drop the extra coin and buy the best.....
you will not be disappointed.

those are the bulbs, don't look cheap to me it's 240 bucks no 180 as I thought. There is however a used set ont here for 180.

get only philips or osram 6000k, they are the best imho. don't get non-brand crap
i have 6000k in my headlights, and also 6000k in my foglights, looks awesome
i don't see any diffeence in lighting up the road though, seems like the same to me
changing is ok, probably coz' i have small hands. the driver side is quite a bit harder to do coz' of space

would it be better to remove the headlights first and then change the bulb.. my hands are pretty big and i think it would be nearly impossible for me to swap the bulbs without breaking it.. lol..
I know removing the headlights will require removing the front bumper but i think its worth the extra time rather than breaking a $200 bulb.. =)

here's my ride with 6000k HID upgrade bulbs, clear fog's w/ Polarg 9006 Hyper Yellow bulbs that replaced my original yellow fog lenses and standard 9005 bulb. Now, when I want to change the lighting on my fogs all I do is put in my PIAA Hyper Whites in the fogs to change the appearances.
