Has anyone been able to turn off the DRL in 2004 RX330's? I heard that it's necessary to turn off DRL and auto headlight before installing an HID kit? Any recommendation? RX 330 has a weird H11 low beam bulb, which significantly limits the availability of HID kit.

i thought rx330 comes with hid?
anyway, yes you need to disable drl if you want to install hid on the high beam (which i think is pointless btw), but if you install the hid on the low beam only, i dn't see why you need to disable the drl. also, with hid kits, i suggest not using the autolight function too

HID is not standard on RX 330. I want to install HID kit for the low beam, but don't know how to turn off the DRL. RX 330's low beam uses H11 bulbs, which also limits available kits. Has anyone actually converted an RX 330's low beam to HID?

several vendors that sell HID kits state that DRL's and automatic headlights can cause problems and that they must be turned off before installing HID kits.

On the GS, the DRLs are the highbeams running at %50 so it would not affect putting HIDs on the lowbeams.
