Buying Replacement 6000k bulbs?...
Ok, I have been running the Philips 6k retro-fit kit for several months. I assumed the bulbs are rebased and wanted to know what happens when one of my bulbs burns out. I'm just trying to think ahead before this happens.
First, I know i will have to buy some new bulbs from some reliable source...Does anyone know one?
Secondly, I assume i will have to do the rebasing myself. Does anyone know how to manual rebase an HID bulb for a retro fit kit?
Thanks,
BIGd

If only one of your bulbs go out, I'd suggest you replace both of them unless you don't mind driving around with two slightly different colored head lights.
Don't bother trying to rebase an OEM HID bulb yourself unless (maybe) you've had first hand experience doing it or know exactly how to do it....just opt for a pair of already rebased bulbs.

Isn't the entire Kit $400? That must mean the ballast are $50 bucks each!
It's like i have to pay for the a new kit everytime i want to buy some new ones...forunately, i've read that HID bulbs last 10times longer than regular bulbs. Unforunately, they are 10times the price..so it all evens out.

Well since the ban kits have gone up to like $475.oo on up. Even if you buy a rebased bulb the plugs may not match up to your ballast. Hid bulbs usually dont go out. Only rare occuances like RominL from touching the bulb with your bare hands j/k
