Post why is it so hot

sup guys. my order just came in for a pair of Piaa Gt-x. I just installed them today. they worked fine. But than when i touch the fog lamp it is very very hot. It produce as much heat as a home light bulb if gets touch. Is this safe or ok for my fog unit and wireing? i have had nokia 55W=110W in it before and its never this hot.

the Piaa Gt-x bulbs are rated at 55W=110W

BTW my car is a 98 es300

thanks

You shouldn't be touching the bulbs at all.... All halogen bulbs get hot, it's normal.

no, what i ment is the fog light unit itself felt like a burning light bulb. after haveing the fog light run for a 1 minute or so. i come to touch my fog lamp ( the lens) its very hot. i dont think its normal, or is it?

Those bulbs are pretty bright so it is normal for the lens to be hot to the touch.
